Our mission
To help our customers navigate through the energy transition and take advantage of the rapid technological fleet and connectivity evolutions that are taking place in their businesses.
Electric vehicles, chargers and energy
As our fuel customers look at transitioning their internal combustion engine (ICE) fleets to electric vehicles (EVs), we want to be able to provide a full range of solutions to help take them through these changes as easily and cost effectively as possible.
Our services include sourcing the vehicles, providing a full range of commercial and domestic chargers and then finding the best energy tariffs to suit each customer. Our unique software allows customers to manage their office, domestic and on-road electricity usage through a single app and web portal.
Telematics and insurance
We provide the widest range of telematics solutions in the global market. Our vehicle tracking products and services include GPS only tracking, through to engine management linked devices that give real time information for larger and more complex fleets.
Our dashcam options range from simple forward facing only cameras, to multi camera solutions with integrated AI designed to improve driver safety in real time.
Asset trackers complete the range, allowing customers to both monitor and protect high value equipment as well as simply keep track of their lower value items.
Data from these telematics devices allows us to provide unique insurtech solutions that help both reduce cost and improve health and safety in our customers’ fleets.
Our history
Radius started life on the 8th of January 1990 as a truck fuel card business called UK Fuels. The company was set up in a small office above a hair dressing salon in the village of Holmes Chapel about 25 miles south of Manchester.
Bill Holmes the founder and current Executive Chairman had originally joined Esso Petroleum on its sales and marketing graduate scheme after qualifying with a degree in biochemistry from Leeds University.
Global expansion
From this early start the business grew and started to expand overseas and eventually after 10 years moved its headquarters 10 miles further south to the town of Crewe. This has remained its home since then and Radius HQ now has nearly 1000 people working across a modern campus of six offices.
After having only sold fuel cards for the first 25 years, the company now has six integrated business units that operate across 19 countries globally. With nearly 3000 people, the business is growing faster than ever as it looks to help its customers through the dual transitions of energy and technology that will change the marketplace dramatically over the decades ahead.
Global presence
With a growing network of nearly 55 offices across five continents, we want to be seen as a unique long-term partner offering the highest level of customer service in these complex and developing markets.
