Diane Bamford, Head of Purchase Ledger in our fuel team, was recently crowned Accounts Payable Association Key Person of Influence award for 2023 at a gala dinner in Birmingham.
The awards, run by the Accounts Payable Association, provide a unique opportunity for the accounts payable (AP) industry to publicly recognise the hard-working professionals who have made an impact on their organisation, the sector or those who achieved personal success over the past 12 months.
The Key Person of Influence award recognises the 'unsung hero' and is for an individual who has personally mentored a colleague, positively influencing them on a personal or professional level.
Diane won this award due to being recognised as an individual who promotes and develops a voice within the AP industry. She has been on the influencer list since its launch in 2016 and has mentored a number of colleagues who are now AP influencers themselves.
She was presented with the award on the evening by Jamie Radford CEO of the Accounts Payable Association and the compere for the evening, Des Coleman - a weather presenter on Good Morning Britain and previous Eastenders actor.
