EBISS UK and Radius Telematics

EBISS UK specialises in the shipping of general freight, as well as high-value items such as art and event materials, requiring precise ETAs and robust security measures. The company runs a mixed fleet of eight vehicles, which operate in the UK and across continental Europe. 

The problem 

EBISS UK needed real-time tracking to provide accurate ETAs to their customers, ensure the security of their shipments, and enhance the safety of their drivers. Jason Payne, Head of Logistics, stated: "When I started here, there was no tracking at all. We couldn't provide those ETAs to our clients." 

In addition to tracking, EBISS UK also wanted to manage fuel spend effectively through the use of fuel cards, giving their drivers easy access to fuel and reducing administration around expense management. Finally, with the company often travelling in Europe, a European Electronic Toll Service solution was required to ensure easy access to the toll road network. 

The solution

In addition, driver performance data has been used to ensure the fleet is driven safely. The additional data and visibility has improved the safety and security of the fleet, and driven a range of business improvements and operational efficiencies. 

In addition to the vehicle tracking system, the fuel cards from Radius help the company to manage and track fuel expenses, and reduce the administration involved for drivers. Meanwhile, the EETS (European Electronic Toll Service) toll reader system ensures smooth travel across toll roads in Europe, saving time and hassle for drivers.
