Preparing for your installation appointment

Where possible, our engineers or installation partners will provide a timeslot for your appointment, usually confirmed the day before. However, these are not guaranteed and you will need to allow for delays to ensure the appointment can go ahead.

Customer availability - You or a representative of the company must be available to provide access to the site and vehicles, including providing keys to the vehicle(s), and complete a handover at the end of the appointment.

Vehicle condition - The vehicle or vehicles must be in working order. For example, the engine can be started, no engine management lights are on, and no major components are missing. This ensures the installation can be completed and tested at the end of the process.

Sole access - Any vehicle or vehicles must not be in use for business or other activities, and should not be being worked on by another company, for example by mechanics or signwriters.

Ground type - The vehicle or vehicles need to be on hard standing ground to ensure the installation can be completed safely and correctly.

Surrounding space - The vehicle or vehicles need to be parked so all doors can be opened freely, and the engineer has space to work safely.

Off-road location - The vehicle or vehicles must not be parked on the public highway or any busy traffic areas. This is to ensure the safety of the installation engineer. If any parking permits are required at the specified installation address, this needs to be provided by the customer.

Shelter - Suitable shelter must be provided in the event of adverse weather conditions. If this isn’t possible, a decision will be made on whether the installation can be completed, to ensure no damage is caused to vehicles.
