Radius Limited, Europe’s leading fuel card provider continues its growth and expansion in the US market by partnering with WEX to launch a new fuel card for business motorists. This follows the opening of one of its new North American offices in Boston last year as a strategic location to promote its Kinesis telematics product.
Radius, which provides one of the widest range of fuel cards in Europe and Asia, will be working with WEX to specifically target small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the USA. The partnership between Radius and WEX was established in 2013 as the two businesses jointly acquired the Esso Card portfolio from ExxonMobil in Europe, forming WEX Europe Services (WES).
Radius’ Boston office has already launched Kinesis telematics, an innovation developed in-house to provide live updates on vehicle location and performance. The system also monitors driver behaviour, providing real time reports to fleet managers via desktop, iOS and Android apps to facilitating more efficient fuel use and driving style.
Bill Holmes, CEO at Radius Limited, said: “The opening of our first US office in Boston last year signalled our ambitions to enter new territories to offer our award-winning products to new customers.”
“Our new range of fuel cards will build on our success in Europe and strengthen our offering in the US as part of our international growth strategy. We look forward to the rollout of additional fleet services in North America and expect to grow our client portfolio significantly over the next few years.”
“We're excited to see our partnership with Radius expand into the United States,” said Jay Collins, WEX Senior Vice President and General Manager for Small Fleet. “Innovative go-to-market solutions, execution and service have made it a great relationship. So it was only natural to extend this success to accelerate delivery of best-in-class card programs to US-based small- and medium-sized businesses.”
Based in Crewe, Radius Limited hit £500m in international sales last year following expansion across Europe, North America and Asia.
The business was also included as part of The Sunday Times International Track 200 league table in 2017, which ranks companies with the fastest growing international sales, measured over the previous two years.
