Radius has become a Corporate Partner of the international development organisation Transaid, a charity that transforms lives through safe, available, and sustainable transport, focusing its work primarily in sub-Saharan Africa.

As a corporate partner, Radius provides support to Transaid through our expertise and knowledge, our products and solutions, and through fundraising activities, to raise money that supports Transaid’s important projects.

Key missions
Access to healthcare
Nothing should prevent communities from accessing vital healthcare. Every person should have the opportunity to build the skills they need to transform their future.
The need:
- Every minute a child dies of malaria, this figure has doubled since the pandemic.
- 241 million malaria cases globally led to 627,000 deaths. Of these deaths, 77% were children under 5 years.
- 96% of global malaria deaths are in Africa.
- Two-thirds of all maternal deaths per year worldwide are in sub-Saharan Africa.
Road safety
Every driver should be able to leave for a day’s work without the fear they may not come home because of a lack of training, or dangerous vehicles and roads.
The need:
- 20 - 50 million injuries per year, and 1.2 million deaths.
- Leading cause of death for children and young adults aged 15-29 years.
- 93% of road deaths are in low and middle-income countries.
- The highest global death rates are in Africa.
Making an impact
Transaid currently operates twelve programmes in nine countries, and since its founding has experience in over 50 countries, predominantly in sub-Saharan Africa.
Transaid is partnered with over 100 organisations and has delivered training to over 60,000 professional drivers and 200 trainers.
